HALLOWEEN

Dear residents

🎃 Halloween Safety Advice - Have Fun and Stay Safe! 👻

As Halloween approaches, we want everyone to enjoy the celebrations safely and responsibly.

Whether you're trick-or-treating, attending a party, or welcoming visitors to your home, please keep the following advice in mind:

🕷️ For Trick-or-Treaters

Stay in groups and stick to well-lit areas.

Wear bright or reflective clothing so you can be easily seen by drivers.

Cross roads safely and use designated crossing points where possible.

Only visit homes that appear to be welcoming trick-or-treaters.

Never enter a stranger's home.

🎃 For Parents and Guardians

Accompany younger children while trick-or-treating.

Agree a route and an appropriate time to return home with older children.

Ensure costumes fit properly to prevent trips and falls.

🏠 For Residents

If you are happy to receive trick-or-treaters, consider leaving a pumpkin or Halloween decoration visible.

If you would prefer not to be disturbed, please respect each other's wishes and avoid knocking on doors where there are no decorations displayed.

Keep pathways clear and well lit for visitors.

🚗 Road Safety

Drivers should take extra care during the evening as there may be more children around, particularly in residential areas.

Halloween should be a fun night for everyone. Please be considerate of your neighbours and report any anti-social behaviour via the appropriate channels.

From all of us at the Batchley & Central Safer Neighbourhood Team, have a safe and enjoyable Halloween.
